It was a day filled with dread as we opened "The Shed" to find many memories of past shows. A collection of Solid wood doors from decades ago (complete with keys), and lots of dirt. This article was on the front page of the Comment News February 16th 2010

Acorn Theatre to close down

Sadly it was voted by the members at the AGM to close down Acorn Theatre. The 2009 committee was voted back in to tidy up all the official loose ends. This is a sad day for community theatre as we say goodbye to Acorn. Acorn Theatre was a world where you could leave your troubles at the door and get on with the business of entertaining the public. I personally enjoyed many years of fun at Acorn and hope that all the patrons who came to see shows at our tiny theatre will remember us fondly.
